Based in Orange County, California, Baines Guitars is a boutique custom guitar shop that makes high quality unique instruments. Made in the style of a Fender Custom Shop guitar, this Tequila Sunrise Stratocaster features a Warmoth swamp ash body with a quilted maple top, finished in Tequila Sunrise Burst.

This guitar features an American Special, Made in USA maple neck, and two active EMG SA single coils and an EMG 85 in the bridge position for a one-of-kind look, sound and playability. His is the perfect guitar if you want both the Strat and Humbucker sound on a Stratocaster, with an original Fender neck and an absolutely gorgeous quilted maple top. The pickups, pickguard and knobs are all cream color. The guitar was built in 2015 and the neck is a new 2018 USA Fender neck that came from a 2019 American Special Stratocaster. The neck is absolutely mint and the body has some very small dings on it, which are shown in the pictures.

I have been using this guitar for gigging and traveling over the past five years. It comes in the SKB hardshell flight case that is one of the few that fits in an airplane overhead bin. Many people love Stratocasters but prefer the dual humbuckers sounds of Gibson and PRS guitars.

The neck and middle pickups feature a vintage single coil sound from the EMG SA that we know and love from our favorite Strat players. All of the pickups are active and feature EMGs noiseless technology. The pots are an EMG master volume and the EMG EXG and SPC tone controls which work on all pickups. The EXG and SPC tone controls boost the mid-range and the bass and treble, so you have way more variation to the tones than a typical tone control that just rolls off the treble.

The sound is so much richer than traditional single coils. There is no need to remove the strings or the entire pickguard to replace the battery. The battery is only active when a cord is plugged in and lasts for 6-24 months, depending on how much you play.
